Charles DeForest was a supremely gifted singer-pianist and songwriter who graced NYC's music clubs from 1954 until his death from metastatic colon cancer in July of 1996. His unique performing style for which Elliott Wexler had dubbed him "Arbiter of Elegance" was legendary among music aficionados everywhere. Lest his superb musical talent be forgotten, it has been my hope to create a website for those of us who knew and may wish to remember Charles, as well as for those who might wish to explore and/or perform his music.
