BRIAN KARSH for Theater Week
The effortlessly tasteful and chic Charles DeForest serenades (actually the better word would be "woos") delighted night-owl diners and tipplers at New York's "Diva." He sings with tenderness and grace, personalizing his songs, creating an atmosphere of unintrusive friendliness. No restaurant should be without him.
DON NELSON for the New York Daily News
One of the premier saloon pianist/singers of our time is Charles DeForest. He is one of the piano poets. A phrase we have heard several times suddenly may assume a new dimension, and DeForest is dimension maker.
CABARET HOT LINE
Charles DeForest is incomparable--just real music performed by a master.
